A brand that tells a story…
Le Sou Français
At the start of World War 2, Kilian’s great-grandfather went to the front and left his youngest daughter a penny, a 10-cent piece, to remind her of him. She manages to hang it on her wrist by a cord, waiting for him to return. He never returned… Decades later, now a grandmother, she asked her grandson to find her a new bracelet for her coin. For his family, Kilian decided to turn this powerful story into a brand: Le Sou Français, and creations that would echo this gesture and this piece. Today we can find bracelets, necklaces, sautoirs and one-size-fits-all rings in gold, gold-plated or raw pewter, all based on genuine antique pieces or reproductions. There’s always the care to keep up with trends, with the added bonus of wearing a piece of French history that echoes in each of us, depending on our age.
